Frequently Asked Questions

What is the expected construction time frame for clubhouse remodel and new facilities?

New Facility construction planned to start spring or summer of 2020. The Clubhouse construction is planned to start summer of 2021.

How long will it take to complete the GCMP construction project?

Nine months (commenced on April 1st and will complete by the end of this year).

Will the golf course close during construction?

The course will close for 60 days mid-construction to accommodate grass grow-in, approximately nine holes will remain open during project (with the exception of the 60 day closure and not always consecutive holes as the construction will “roll” as dictated by construction priorities). Reciprocal play with other courses will be available at a reduced rate.

Why now & why entire scope?

New irrigation and new turf type will save 30-40% water usage.  Incremental improvements are less efficient, more expensive, more disruptive and do not increase membership demand or satisfaction. Current blend of grasses create inconsistent playability and aesthetics. Maximizing our primary asset will improve member enjoyment, increase membership value and increase our competitiveness in the market.

Will the clubhouse close during the golf course project?

The clubhouse, snack bar & all other club services will remain open.

How much of the course infrastructure will be addressed?

New Tees (laser leveled & sodded), greens, bunkers. Fairways and Roughs sodded to new hybrid fairways for improved conditions, playability and aesthetics. Relocate, replace & eliminate cart paths. Perimeter and landscaping plan for privacy, screening and a consistent and natural look throughout. Rebuild & improve practice area.  Adding a full length range (select operating hours and shotgun events).
